It’s hard for anyone to match the geek cred of Lucy Lawless. Just being the star of Xena: Warrior Princess would have made Lawless a Comic-Con icon for life! But she went on to appear in Battlestar Galactica, the Spartacus TV series, Salem, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; just to count a few of her many credits.

Now Lawless is back on STARZ with Ash vs Evil Dead, the much anticipated follow up to the Evil Dead and Army of Darkness films. Earlier today at Comic-Con 2015, CraveOnline caught up with Lawless as she revealed exactly how her character, Ruby fits into the storyline. It includes a callback to the original Evil Dead films!

Lawless also shared her favorite Bruce Campbell scene from Evil Dead 2, and her memories of working with him on Xena before talking about what she would like to see in a reboot of her iconic character.

Ash vs Evil Dead reunites Bruce Campbell with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert for a ten episode sequel series to the Evil Dead and Army of Darkness films. After 20 years, Campbell is reprising his role as Ash Williams, the “Chosen One” who has squandered his life as a stock boy and avoided all responsibility.

With the return of the Deadites, Ash must reluctantly rejoin the fight against evil alongside his new sidekicks, Pablo Simon Bolivar (Ray Santiago) and Kelly Maxwell (Dana Delorenzo). Lucy Lawless costars as an enigmatic woman named Ruby, while Jill Marie Jones plays disgraced Michigan State Trooper Amanda Fisher, a woman with her own grudge against Ash.

Ash vs Evil Dead will premiere on October 31 on STARZ.
