Canadian Neve Campbell To Join Cast Of House Of Cards

Guelph native will join Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.

Canadian Neve Campbell, who hails from Guelph, ON, is joining mainstay stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright in Season 4 House of Cards.

Campbell, who is also working on the TV series Welcome to Sweden, will play an unknown character in the Netflix show, said Relaxnews. Production is set to begin in the coming weeks.

Campbell, best known for her early work on the hit series Party of Five, has dabbled in both TV and film, also playing Sidney Prescott in the series of Scream horror flicks.

House of Cards, which is an adaptation of the UK series of the same name, is based on the novel by Michael Dobbs. Considered to be one of the most successful online series of all time, raking in nine Primetime Emmy nominations (by far more than any other web television shows). After the first season, Wright won the Golden Globe for Best Actress – Television Series Drama, and after the second season, Spacey won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Drama.

The fourth season of House of Cards will air in 2016.
