We are roughly two months out from the premiere of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead, and we haven’t seen a real zombie yet!
The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman co-created this spinoff/companion/prequel series with Dave Erickson and set the story at the earliest days of the zombie apocalypse in Los Angeles.
There hasn’t even been a full trailer for Fear The Walking Dead yet, but AMC has released a new teaser featuring Nick, one of the main characters on the show. It’s a situation we’ve seen dozens of times in the movies, as a young male runs from a house half dressed after being “interrupted” in the act. But the ominous music and the fear on Nick’s face suggest that there is something dangerous that he’s trying to escape.
Fun fact: Nick is played by Frank Dillane, the son of Stephen Dillane, who portrayed Stannis Baratheon on Game of Thrones.
The central characters of Fear The Walking Dead are Madison (Kim Dickens) and Travis (Cliff Curtis), a couple who try to survive the impending walker devastation alongside their children from previous relationships. Nick is Madison’s son, while her daughter, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) also has a key part to play. Travis has a son named Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie), and an ex-wife named Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez) who will play a part in the first season’s storyline.
Fear The Walking Dead will premiere in August on AMC.
