I love boutique hotels… quiet and laid-back, they’re more intimate and inviting than larger hotel chains, with an onus on service and attention to detail. But with so many hotels to choose from, finding the right one can feel like solving a mystery. Hotels.com is helping make the process a bit more streamlined by sharing the top guest-rated hotels in Canada and around the world. Travelers can find the hotels most “Loved by guests” on new Hotels.com deals pages that showcase the best rated hotels by city.

With Canada’s festival season upon us, those traveling for food, music and art will want to check out this list of top-rated boutique hotels. Hotels.com recently awarded more than 6,400 boutique properties in 117 countries worldwide that have achieved an average guest review rating of 4.5 or higher (out of 5) (179 of which were in Canada). To determine the initial recipients, Hotels.com analyzed its database of more than 15 million Genuine Guest Reviews, which are verified upon the completion of each guest’s stay.

“Whether you’re traveling to enjoy the arts, food or music, our guest reviews are a helpful starting point to planning any vacation because they are written by travelers who have actually stayed at the hotels,” said Taylor L. Cole, APR, travel expert for Hotels.com, in a press release. “I like to filter our reviews by trip type like “Family, Business, Romance,” and date which gives a better indication of what to expect when checking in.”
