By the Orb of Agamotto, Doctor Strange is putting together a fantastic cast. Director Scott Derrickson (Sinister) has just added Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) to an ensemble that already includes Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) as Doctor Strange, and Oscar winner Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton) as The Ancient One.

Baron MordoDeadline reports that Chiwetel Ejiofor will play Baron Mordo in the upcoming Marvel Studios release. Like Doctor Strange, Baron Mordo is a student of The Ancient One and a master of the mystic arts, but unlike Doctor Strange, Mordo tried to kill their master. Along with the demons Dormammu, Nightmare and Mephisto, Baron Mordo is considered one of the Marvel superhero’s greatest nemeses.

He also has a sweet set of green pajamas. Just saying.

But Baron Mordo may not be entirely villainous in Doctor Strange. Reports have come in that character will not be a direct adaptation of the comics, and may be more of an amalgam of multiple characters from the original series. If so, that may leave room for yet another enemy to take part in the story of Marvel’s mystical hero.

Doctor Strange will cast its spell on theatergoers on November 4, 2016.
