Let’s start from the top. Step one: If you’re not listening to The Nerdist podcast from Nerdist Industries, halt what you’re doing right now and download a couple for free on iTunes and listen to them… All done? Okay. Step two: Now, if you’re not listening to Smodcast with Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier on the Smodcast Network, repeat step one with Smodcast. Whew! Good thing that’s over.

Now that you’re all caught up, one-half of Smodcast (Scott Mosier) and one-third of The Nerdist (Matt Mira) have joined forces, thanks to the romantic network that is Twitter, and have decided to do a podcast to end all podcast. Essentially, this podcast is World War One, but with less trench foot and more laughs. It’s called Four-Eyes and a Beard. Or, FEaB.

Mosier, the less-stoned contributor of Smodcast, brings his dry-yet-inventive sense of humor and to the show, complimented nicely by Mira’s boy-like energy and mischievous hypothetical podcastery. The two discuss travel, tell stories from the road, relive old childhood memories, talk movies and art, and recommend books — all that good stuff.

The bottom line is this: If you’re looking for a funny, hip, smart, sometimes silly take on modern day life then you should, by all means, jump on this podcasting bandwagon early. If that’s what you’re into, do yourself a favor and check it out!
