'The Hobbit' Filming Delayed... Again

And we thought The Hobbit was supposed to be the lucky number: after years of delays following the departure of director Guillermo Del Toro and more financial troubles than we can throw an acorn at (wait, wrong movie), filming has been delayed yet again. But it’s okay. Peter Jackson has a note from his doctor.

"Sir Peter’s surgery is not expected to impact on his directing commitment to The Hobbit beyond a slight delay to the start of filming," an official statement said. The Lord of the Rings director underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer Wednesday night after experiencing acute stomach pains. We’d like to quip about frightenering the experience must have been, but of course that would be in bad taste. Hollywood Reporter had the story.

CRAVE Online wishes Jackson a full, speedy recovery so we can finally see this damned movie. What do we have in our pocket? Impatience. And a "Get Well Soon" card.
