If you’re itching to get your hands on Dragon Age II before the game releases on March 8, mark your calendars for February 22. That is the day a demo will release for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

The Dragon Age II demo will give players a taste of the game’s prologue. You’ll be able to choose from three different classes and learn more about main character Hawke. Finishing the prologue will open up a new location to Dragon Age II — Kirkwall. You’ll also meet for the first time the romantic interest of the title, Isabela, who is also a deadly smuggler.

To provide extra incentive to download and complete the Dragon Age II demo, players will unlock a special weapon for use in the full retail release of Dragon Age II. The Hayder’s Razor is an ancient dwarven blade with increases your health, mana and combat abilities.

According to EA and BioWare this demo "represents just a small taste of what Dragon Age II has to offer. With a whole new realm to discover, and an all-new hero to become, players will go deeper into the world of Dragon Age unlike ever before in an adventure that shapes itself around every decision you make."

Dragon Age II releases on March 8, 2011 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in North America. Europe gets the title on March 11, 2011.
