Deadmau5 Calls Out Arcade Fire For ‘Actual Instruments’ Coachella Dig

Deadmau5 took to Twitter to throw a little shade at Arcade Fire yesterday, after what he perceived to be a dig at DJ culture in the EDM world during this year's Coachella.

Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler made a crack that could've been interpreted as a shot at the various EDM artists who were on the bill.

"Shout-out to all the bands still playing actual instruments at this festival," Butler wryly announced to the crowd at his band's headlining Coachella performance. Mau5's response may as well be a Reddit or 4Chan post, though he does have a point. Only time will tell if we'll see a Dave Grohl-level backpedal from Butler on the issue. Check out Deadmau5's tweets below.

This is what passes for "rock star" beef in 2014, boys and girls. Soak it up.
