2011 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Lineup Announced

The lineup & tour dates for the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival has been announced, with the metal mayhem kicking off at San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA on July 9.

The headliners for the tour include Disturbed, Godsmack and Megadeth – a band that is also playing the massively-anticipated Big Four festival in Indio on April 23 – as well as main stage acts Machine Head, In Flames and Trivium. The Jagermeister stage will feature Unearth, Kingdom of Sorrow and Red Fang, and the winners of Jagermeister Battle of the Bands. The Extreme Stage will spotlight Suicide Silence, All Shall Perish and Straight Line Stitch.

In a strangely awesome twist, Megadeth will be substituted on the kickoff date by Dethklok, from the "Adult Swim" cartoon "Metalocalypse". Testament will replace the absent In Flames.

The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, the heralded hard rock and metal event of the summer, will make a 26-date trek across the country, leaving a wake of metal destruction behind. Last Summer’s was a tour for the ages, and the metal lord only knows what kind of plans organizers have up their sleeves to top it this year!
