Charlotte Ross is an actress probably best known for her roles on “Days of Our Lives” and “NYPD Blue,” though she has appeared in “Glee” and “Hit the Floor,” among others. Fans may have loved her nude sex scene in “Drive Angry” with Nic Cage. In 2002 was ranked #68 in Stuff magazine’s “102 Sexiest Women in the World.” Most recently, she was cast on the series “Arrow” as Felicity Smoak’s mother.
Charlotte Ross attended New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, where she was a cheerleader and dancer. She also studied at Steppenwolf Theatre and Second City. She later moved to Los Angeles. Upon arriving, she landed a role on “Days of Our Lives” and earned two Emmy nominations.

Other roles followed, but Charlotte Ross gained her fame on “NYPD Blue” as Detective Connie McDowell. “I had no idea how much I would love the physical aspect of my role. I got to carry a .45 everyday and really know how to use it while running, breaking into a perpetrator’s residence, taking down guys twice my size and cuffing people dragging and kicking for many hours…it was more fun than you think!”
At the end of her fifth season on the show, she was eight months pregnant and took two years off to raise her son. “One of the best things I ever did was to take a break from working…sometimes you just need to refuel, you know?” She added, “But now my son is [older] and I am ready for longer hours.”
Charlotte Ross told Maxim that she wasn’t proud of a guest spot she did on “Married...With Children.” “I was everything I don’t wanna be. I was in a skintight dress; I kissed Bud Bundy and acted like an airhead.” She said men could win her over by “having confidence…I also like someone who has manners. I think opening doors simply should be mandatory.”
She appeared nude in her role in the film “Drive Angry” with Nicolas Cage.
Charlotte Ross is divorced from Michael Goldman. She has a son from her relationship with him, Maxwell Ross Goldman. She is a supporter of PETA and one of her biggest idols is Jane Goodall. “I have been a passionate animal activist for many years now.” She also enjoys exercise and is even a licensed Tae-Bo instructor. She resides in Los Angeles, California.
