Candice Accola is an American TV and film actress, as well as a singer/songwriter. She is most famous for her role as Caroline Forbes on The CW series "The Vampire Diaries."
Candice Rene Accola came into this world on May 13, 1987 in Houston, Texas. The daughter of a former environmental engineer turned homemaker and cardiothoracic surgeon, she grew up alongside her younger brother Kree in Edgewood, Florida while attending Lake Highland Preparatory School.
While Candice was finally able to break into the world of professional acting in a big way on The CW series "The Vampire Diaries" in 2009, music is her true passion, as well as the reason she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 16. Back then, she was able to land a record deal with Maverick Records. By the end of 2006, she had officially released her first album, titled It's Always the Innocent Ones. While it failed to take originally, it was eventually re-released in Japan in 2008 to greater success. As she continued to explore her music career, she was eventually able to attain a spot as a backing singer on the Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Tour, even appearing as herself in the 2008 documentary "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert."
Whether music was her original conquest or not, Candice has certainly become more popular for her acting than her singing. After being cast in her first film "Pirate Camp" in 2007, Candice has continued to make a name for herself on the big and small screen by appearing in such films as "Juno" and TV series like "Supernatural" and "Greek." As mentioned, since 2009 she has starred as Caroline Forbes on "The Vampire Diaries," and in 2012 she even took on a new role as Chloe Cunningham on the YouTube dramedy "Dating Rules from My Future Self" which went on to attract over 14 million viewers in its first season.
