Born in Dayton, Ohio, Candace Elizabeth Smith is known as a beauty queen, actress and lawyer.
Candace won the title of Miss Ohio USA in 2003 and went on to represent Ohio in the Miss USA competition in 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. While Miss Ohio, Candace Smith championed many charities, including Armetis House and the USO.
Growing up, Candace Smith was a tomboy. She was captain of the soccer team, played varsity basketball and competing in track-and-field at the National Junior Olympics.
Candace Smith went to the University of Dayton on a full scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She also completed a Communications and Marketing program at the University of London. Candace then went on to Northwestern University Law School. In 2002, she passed the Ohio bar exam and began practicing law. Candace has said that Chicago is her favorite city and that she is a Chicago Bears fan.

During this period, Candace won the Miss Ohio competition and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting and modeling career. She also landed a gig as a Barker's Beauty on "The Price is Right." "On the 'Price Is Right,' I only lasted a couple months, they didn't really like me," because she didn't like "not being able to talk" (realityblurred.com).
Candace appeared on "Survivor: Tocantins," and was the second person voted off. Candace said she wasn't a "lifelong fan of 'Survivor,' but applied anyway. She was "always kind of fascinated with it" and applied for "the challenge. It's an amazing challenge, and I haven't had one in a while. I've been comfortable, chilling for a little bit. I think I got burned out and now it's time for me to rev it up again" (realityblurred.com).
When interviewed by buddytv.com, Candace said of her time on "Survivor," "I was a beast the entire time. I don't think America even got a feel for how hardworking and how strong I was for my tribe.I'm cool with making the tribe stronger, but I thought being strong in the challenges would earn respect."
In 2009, Candace was working on a book about self-esteem and inner beauty. She has also appeared in music videos for Lloyd Banks and 50 Cent, as well as national ad campaigns including Diddy's Ciroc vodka Sinatra-inspired commercials.
Candace Smith has made appearances on television shows, including "Entourage," "Joey," and the film "Beer Fest" as the character Naomi. Other roles followed, such as cop movie "End of Watch" starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena.
